  • Since most of us are so far away we would have felt frustrated and useless in not being able to help.  This PayPal is a good way for us all to feel like we are at least doing something.  So thank you for letting us help.

  • Wish I could help you out, but there is no money at my house :)   I hope you make it home safely.

  • have you guys made any progress getting home?  if you still need help, let me know and i may be able to make a contribution...

  • Hope today is a bit better for you.

  • Yay for the "Bring Terri & the Boys Home Safely" Drive. Xanga is some good people!

Hope you're having fun in spite of all the adventure.

  • I was talking to my mom.. she was thinking that IF you have comprehensive your insurance company might *and that's a big might* cover the "excessive" damage to your car.. that being the damage the transmission caused to other parts of the car. So, you might *again big might* be able to reduce the costs some..

Also.. Not sure what town you're near.. but many have a thing called "Travelers Aid" That help stranded travelers get home. Perhaps if you call the local police dept or social services and ask about that? It doesn't get you a new car or a repair maybe.. but once you're home.. things will seem less helpless maybe?

    Good luck! :)

  • Transmission?  Yuck!  I just did that one, too.  I drove into a swamp and flooded the car.  It got the computer wet and ruined the transmission too.  Since you're thanking people and posting, I assume you got home ok?

  • God's speed, not yours...  remember.
