So last night the boys were making candy wreaths..  I melted white chocolate, they dipped pretzels in the chocolate and then arranged them in the shape or wreaths which they decorated with little green and red leaves and berries.  At first Tucker was a little hesitant, "I can really decorate it however I want?"

"Muahahahahahahaha, I'm mad with power."

I have a companion at home today.  Tucker started complaining of headache yesterday afternoon and then about bedtime, he got sick.  And he was sick all night long.

So today, he's lying on the couch with a warm blanket and his cat is lying on him. 

I know he was sick all night, but he sure looks happy now.  Except ... the television show he's watching is running commercials for Christmas stuff.  He says, "Girls get all the cool things, they text each other, they have diaries that no boy can read, it's an unfair world."

We had an amazing display of light here this afternoon just about 4:30 pm.  The sun dropped below heavy clouds and shed a light on the mountains that almost made me weep it was so clear and gold. 

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture that light with my camera. 

I tried.

Instead, I have a photo of my newly decorated mantel. 

Everything looks different in the light.  Don't you think?
