Exactly.
Yes...indeed.....looks do matter. I do believe it's a scientific fact.
I attempted to teach my daughter that "It is not about appearance. She said, "Dad it is all about appearance." I doubt she believes that now as strongly as she did when she said it. (High school age)
I think it depends on the market and how open the employer is...
I think physical appearance is important for men, too. After 16 years in corporate America I've noticed that most men in senior management have the same body type: medium to tall, slender and/or fit. Maybe they're not always handsome, but they're generally not painful to look at.
Hell, everything else a woman does is based on her appearance... why not this too? It's a man's world, baby... always will be. Liberated? Maybe, but they still own the market.
