Harry Potter Opinion
... now that the series is concluded we can look back and see the entire thing as hindsight. Were there problems with it? certainly. But in the end, wow. The themes, the story, the adventure, the philosophy ... we'll be talking about this one for years. And rightly so, it's an impressive feat.
I think Tokien would have certainly sniffed about some of the prose. But he would have been very impressed with the story-telling.
Well done, Joanne. Well done.

I'm re-reading again. I liked the overall story, but the first time through, there were just some things that made me go "ummmmm.......NO." So I figured I'd read it over and see if I change my mind since I'll be reading for details and not rushing through to see what happens.
Oh boy I'm so sorry but I just can't get into that Harry Potter stuff!! I'm old and maybe that I just can't conform to some of the things that are out today and I'm not an avid reader either so I just have never had any desire to read any of those books or see the movies or even care about them!! Everyone talks about it though so I'm missing out b/c I don't know enough about it to discuss it. I just know I don't care for it....sorry! No problem in everyone but me liking it though...each of us has our own opinions and that's the way it goes so it's no biggie that I just don't care for it!!
Hope you are doing well and getting some rest....take care and have a blessed day!
I may start over at book one after I am done READING six and then onto seven. And why not? A co-worker gave me the first six on audio!!!!!!!
(and the answer to the next question is yes, of course)
She calls herself "Jo" and claims, "No one ever called me 'Joanne' when I was young, unless they were angry". Kinda like no one calls me "Kevin Lee," except for pretty much the same reason.
