  • Mom's Turn

The boys thought it fair and reasonable that Mom should do the photo assignment.  They giggled at sending me out to take photos after dark, but I wasn't willing to show them any hesitation.  Besides, I know something they don't know ... *I* am not left-handed.  (And I know the camera has a flash ... )  Here are my entries in the "photos that show something of how I feel about where we live" game.

  •  On A Mission from Mom ...

You know how it happens, you comment on a site, more than once, and you start to notice some of the other people who are also commenting but for some reason you don't go check them out.  I've seen this blogger leave comments in some of the same places I comment.  So after a couple years of parallel existence, I dropped by to be neighborly.  And discovered wonderful photography that was both beautiful and arresting.

It wa the kind of photography that makes you wonder if there just might not be something beautiful you can find with your own camera lens.  So this afternoon, I was inspired to take my camera in hand.  But before I made it out the door, I had a better idea, how about if I put the camera in the hands of my kids?  So I did.  I told them to go outside and take photos around where we live; of things that say something to them about what it means to live here.
