Mary thinks you are adorable - - - for real, you? Who is that cute child you are trying to pass of as yourself?
Yay!
Woo hoo!
Yeh, you, again!!!!
Mary's on the right track. You are rather FAR more than merely adorable though.
Congratulations!!!!! I'm hoping that the job search is fruitful soon.
I am diggin on those cool little shoes you're wearing ...... I think I need some!
Cool
Did you win cash?
Woohooo TERRI!!!!
congratulations!
Congratulations! Now then, please explain: what did you win? Money? Honor? Both of the above? How much? Spill! Congratulations again.
And can you parlay any of this into a steady job?
I went back and read your blogs for the last month or more, and was just wondering: for those prospective employers who are turned off by what happened at Mimi's, isn't it possible to show them a written reference from that lady who said you were the best server she'd ever had?
Barbara and I had an experience at a Cracker Barrel last week that COULD have got a waitress fired. We'll never know. Here's what happened: 1. we placed our order. 2. we waited 45 minutes before realizing that others who'd come in after us had already been served. 3. our waitress never came over to say anything, such as "I forgot to put your order in. Sorry." 4. our waitress was invisible, period. 5. I flagged another waitress, stated the situation, and she said I wasn't her table, so she couldn't be bothered (not her words, but let me just say that she was defensive and argumentative, this person who was not OUR waitress). 6. that's when I started to lose it (just STARTED to lose it, I kept my cool) and went out to where the cash register was and asked to speak to the manager. 7. when the manager showed up, I told him calmly about the 45 minutes and then said something like: "when I told the other waitress, she gave me some attitude, and I don't need that shit" at which point he told me he didn't appreciate my language but he would try to find out what was happening. 8. Barbara then insisted that we leave immediately and go across the street to another restaurant. 9. Which we did.
So -- I don't know what if anything happened to either waitress. Frankly, neither one of them deserves to keep her job, but my thinking is that the manager of this place did nothing, so their jobs are probably safe.
Let me emphasize: I KNOW that you're not like either of these waitresses. And it was extremely wrong for you to have been let go, despite the similarity in circumstances. So please don't think that I'm comparing you to them.
I just thought I'd tell you the story of what happened here, from the customer's point of view. Again, you're not like the waitresses I'm talking about; I can't emphasize that enough.
