Just a Beachin' Kind of day ...
It's been a long time in dog years since my last trip to a beach. It's starting to feel like a long time in people years too. I miss it. I miss sitting on the edge of the ocean and watching the setting sun kiss the water. I miss the tang of the sea salt air. I miss the sensation of being rocked in the surf. I don't see a beach in my near future, but the fellow who talked to me yesterday about his vision of me going to Hawaii, stirred up my longing.
There's a quiet beach somewhere I could be lying on ...

Wish you could go there. You write so well. Oh, I am going to give you a link to Freekycheek. She took my advice!!
Sunday's post is about her trip to Ozone Falls which she did at my suggestion.
as long as it's not hurricane'ing...
It's the sound of the ocean and the ocean winds that move me. I could lay for the rest of my life with my eyes closed listening to that sound.
the beach sure would be nice right now...
Hurricanes too much on my mind. I remember last year, weeks after Frances and Jeanne, dining at a beachside restaurant and feeling overwhelmingly sad at the devastation that was still all around, everywhere you looked. The restaurant had a limited menu and few people were dining. It was just sad sad sad.
But yes, it's comforting to know that there is a beach somewhere that is just as peaceful as that of which you write.
sounds beautiful...just don't go to Galveston
Love the beach.
