  • Time Management

"Time management is life management, from the inside out. It’s an INSIDE job. You already have everything you need. You have the power to create a life of meaning, fulfillment and joy."

I get this daily motivational feed from a place called Higher Awareness.  Sometimes the things that I read seem life fluff and go right over my head, sometimes they seem particularly necessary life lessons that I must immediately grasp.  In 42 years (yes, my birthday happened over the weekend - and my 4th Xangaversary was last week as well) I still have a sense of being managed by time rather than the other way around.

I'm always putting out the fire, rushing to catch up, and wishing that I could stay awake just a little longer to finish that last task.

This week I'm tired, I have at least a bad allergy and maybe a summer cold. and I have today off from work.  All work.  I"m not doing anything for any of my paying jobs.  There's a part of me that's a little anxious about that, I've gotten rather fond of those daily deposits into my savings account.  And I know that those people who haven't abandoned me yet are probably on the verge just from being bored with my little obsession with my bank account.  But there you have it.  That's my day.

And I have all this time.

Time to do whatever I want.

    Wonder what that is?

    Hugs
    Terri

  • Pfft.  Your little obsession with your bank account is CUTE.    (And smart).

  • We all need those breaks from time to time.  I enjoyed Sunday, using Father's Day as an excuse to not lift a finger for any kind of work.  It was very nice, but oh too fleeting.  I find that my life seems to be a combination of being driven by time and driving it.  There are fixed parts of my day or week that have to be on someone else's time schedule and that's okay, but the rest of the time is mine and how I use it matters.

  • sounds like a plan to me but you know i'm all about taking a day or two for jammies and self-indulging.

    happy belated birthday and xangaversary
    [ we're both geminis! ]

enjoy every laid back moment today, terri

  • WHAT? No work? No comment on my blog in MONTHS. I bet if you check your email you have at least ONE tasker from yours truely for DPe if you are really desperate for SOMETHING to do...

    *grin*

Happy Birthday. Your gift will be very late this year.

    Sail on... sail on!!!!

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I should have realized -- but I am not the sort of person who would remember my own spouse's birthday (if it didn't fall on a major holiday). I'm just not that good .

I personally divide my time between wishing I had a free day and realizing that if I did I wouldn't be able to choose between the 6,493 things I really, really, really want to do with a free day. I think it might be better not to have that dreadful choice ! But I know you'll do something perfect with yours, and I hope it's all about YOU, whatever it is.

  • Happy post-birthday!  I remember, yours is the 18th, right?  Mine was the 17th.

I don't think you're obsessed with your bank account, I think you're being a good steward of your resources.

    Happy jammie day!

  • Well, happy birthday. Mike
