  • A Red, Red Rose

My love is like a red, red rose
    That's newly sprung in June:
My love is like the melody
    That's sweetly played in tune.

As fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
So deep in love am I:
And I will love thee still, my dear,
Till a' the seas gang dry.

Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi' the sun:
And I will love thee still, my dear,
While the sands o' life shall run.

And fare thee weel, my only love,
And fare thee weel a while!
And I will come again, my love,
Thou' it were ten thousand mile.

  • Happy Valentine's Day!

  • Happy VDay I like this poem, it reminds me of one of my favorite books, Tam Lin by Pamela Dean... it's in the book and it just clicks

  • I am not saying you started it, but your participation keeps it purring.

  •   I hope you have a good day today!

  • Happy V Day!

  • Planted near my path one day
Was discovered a red, red rose
Pausing to admire this remarkable beauty
I pressed it to my nose

The fragrant aroma that it gave
Made it’s beauty more intense –
As I breathed in its fragrant aroma
I became intoxicated with its scent…

    She is fragile
    She is delicate
    She is lovely beyond compare
    She is a beauty
    A sight to behold
    Truly a discovery –
             Extremely rare

    She is fragile
    She is delicate
Yet her defenses are always there
    Hold her gently
    To avoid injury
    Handle her with care

Planted near my path one day
Was discovered a red, red rose...
