On the Road Again -
Whooo Hoooooo! The Traveling Verrette's are on the loose, and not a moment too soon. We are heading out for Florida! Our ten day stay in the Sunshine State includes a visit to the Grandparents, the Kennedy Space Center, and Mickey Mouse.
If you see my band of gypsies rolling down the highway, you'll recognize us by our distinctive touristy look. We'll be the outlandishly dressed people standing beside the road with the map spread out on the hood arguing about whether we should have take a left or a right in Nashville ("it's a right I tell you!") My sons will be wearing strait-jackets since I'm pretty sure they are going to violate at least 12 of the "no tolerance" laws we've passed. ("The next thing that hits the back of my head better be my pillow in the hotel tonight or I'm pulling this car over and you guys are going to finish the trip in the trunk!") And my spouse will be looking at me with that look over the top of his shades. ("What possessed you do do the shopping for car snacks at the Russell Stover's Outlet!")

I'm sorry I haven't been around much... been so busy with the winter crush of visitors! Seems as though one group leaves and then we get the laundry done, fridge restocked and bathroom scrubbed just in time for the next group to file in. *sigh* I wonder if this ever lets up? It's GREAt to see everyone, but we are running out of steam

This is a wonderful trip. So sorry that the weather choses to be bad now. I'd love to revisit Epcot. I'd love to go visit Florida again. We spent one winter in Homestead, last street on the continent before crossing onto the keys. Picked strawberries and tomatoes in the winter. Great fun.
Have a GREAT trip! Oh, and if you ever come to KC, let me know and I'll drive you by the Stover house. Yep. One of our claims to fame...it all started here. (notice I said drive by...it's a mansion...we don't stop in that neighborhood without good reason or we will be duly reported...psh...money...lol.)
Oh...and if the kids get too out of line, you might give 'em one of these... (0_o)...works every time...

Have fun! Not that it's that much warmer in Florida right now...my mom lost her banana trees and her oranges, and is always telling me how cold it is!

Oh dear... the dreaded Family Car Trip. My youngest doesn't do vacations well. At least not the in between stuff. She likes to be one place or the other. The destination better be entertaining or we will hear "I want to go home" for the rest of the time.
I hope you all have fun. I'm envious! I've never seen Florida at all. It's on my list of things to do before I sail away. Oh... to answer your question posed in my guestbook, yes. I'll email you.
