  • The word count continues to rise.  I have thought all day long that I wasn't getting much done, but I'm now at 7,904 - so I added about 1,500 words.  AND <drumroll> I finally have a dead guy!  It isn't the guy that I thought was going to be my victim, but now that there's a corpse involved I can let go some of my guilt for appropriating a category that my story didn't really fit.

  • That's great--a dead guy already!  What I want to know is.......did he go quickly? Was there a lot of pain?  Blood?  Was this guy involved?

  • Hello, just stopping by to say hello.  Glad your story is coming along well.

  • So your novel has a mind and a will of its own?  I had heard (somewhere) that they are like living/breathing creatures...I love the insight into your writing process!    Spot

  • WOO HOO!  Isn't it amazing the way our characters take on a life of their own?  Great on the word count.  Keep it up!

  • He's dead. Dead she said.
Mwaa hahaha! Yeah...a dead guy. That's always fun. Now, find a way to twist the story so it LOOKS like there was a killer but he actually just accidentally asphyxiated himself in the bathroom while trying to bleach his hair or something...*L*

  • Better a dead guy than no dead guy and 10,000 words written and you still have to figure out what is going to happen.......

I have tried to write lately and cannot find any momentum at which to start myself...I usually start with a dream or a photo of someone...and BAM! My creative juices flow....I think I should come off of my depression meds...I used to write all the time before that drug got introduced into my system.... LOL

Here I am rambling...Congrats on your dead guy....

    Did I just say that????

  • I haven't stopped by for a few days. Is this something you're doing for your own interest or have you joined that writer's contest to write a novel in a month?

    Faith

  • Uhm, never mind. I see the graphic for the contest now.
