I have a new goal in life. My new goal is to be no more and no less than exactly as messed up as I think I am. It's all a part of the "lets get real" campaign I've been waging over here. I think I'm making progress. I want to change the name of my site. My determination to live in the harsh light of reality makes me dislike the fact that my site is "quiltnmomi" - that just reflects some of what I do - that isn't who I am. Of course, my name isn't really who I am either.
There are forty thousand seven hundred and 2 Terris in the US who even spell their name the same way (roughly estimated.) So my name doesn't tell you anything either. I could adopt one of those long native names "woman who talks friends to death then changes story" - but I'm not sure that really does it for me either.
One thing I know. I'm done with euphemisms for this week.

I look forward to seeing the site name that describes all you are in the space of a banner. How about "Princess of Quite A Lot"?
Being a victim of an unnaturally common name that is spelled a variety of different ways, I must say that I am able to sympathize. And as for "Mystik Siren", I have no idea where that came from. It sounded pretty at the time.

I like that goal. Now the question is... do I adjust the amount of my messed up-ness to reflect my self image or my align my self image with how messed up I am?
Whoa. New look. Cool. I've been reading just from emails lately, and it doesn't show the change. I like purple.
Names are just that. Names. They aren't descriptive of a person's personality. You can't tell what a person looks like because of it. We could all just be "Hey You!" but I think that would be a mess. Heck, anytime I say that my name's "Heather" to a guy online, I'm pretty sure they get the thin, leggy, buxom blonde image in their head. HA! How wrong they are. heh heh
And I'M Princess of Quite-A-Lot, Tim!
Either that, or Queen of Everything. heh
YOU = as real as real gets
